Tennis instruction in the US runs from a certified teaching pro giving private lessons on a park court to full academies with fitness staff, boarding and tournament travel. Private lessons are priced per hour, semi-private and group clinics cost less per player, and most clubs run junior programs after school and adult drills in the evening. The USTA organizes the national rating (NTRP) and the adult and junior leagues most players join; the USPTA and PTR certify coaches. Summer camps take kids by the week or the day and usually include lunch and match play. Stadiums and event venues host college matches, USTA sanctioned tournaments and the occasional exhibition, with free or low-cost admission for most of them.

Daytona Beach is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Daytona Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This is a very nice place to hold a big event such as the high school graduation I attended with around 750 graduates. As an operations worker for a smaller but similar facility in another state, I was interested in ways we might improve our operations. First, parking was adequate but cost between $10 and $25 depending on how close you were and whom you were leasing the space from. Pedestrian traffic flow was very smooth, despite the magnetometers and the clear bag policy. Once past that, there were clear directions to the seating area and large elevator to take people to the upper seating area. Once in the arena, we could find empty seats right away. The seats were wide, padded, and had cup holders. There was adequate leg room. We had a good view of the stage even though we were at the opposite end of the arena. The only issue we had was the concessions. My daughter waited in line for an extended period for a bag of popcorn, then was told it would be another 10 minutes before they would have some. She did not wait due to the ceremony starting. Egress was very easy once the event ended. Overall, the arena was very clean and trash free. Cudos to the staff for their effo

Nice convention center. Attended club volleyball tournament and the setup was great. Parking is expensive but if you walk a couple of blocks you can park at the beach for $1 an hour

We attended a youth volleyball tournament here yesterday and had a very positive experience. The facility is spacious and well-organized, which made it easy to move between courts without feeling crowded. The cleanliness stood out immediatelyβrestrooms, common areas, and seating sections were all well maintained throughout the day. Another highlight was the visible security presence, which created a calm and orderly environment. With so many families and teams present, it was reassuring to see staff actively monitoring entrances and common areas to prevent confusion or disruptions. Overall, it was a comfortable and efficient venue for a large sporting event, and it contributed to a smooth experience for both players and spectators. I would gladly attend another tournament here.
